Our Glutaraldehyde Vapor Monitoring Badge comes with detailed instructions
, a monitoring record sheet, and an address label. They are designed to provide you with the ability to check exposure levels to Glutaraldehyde. Returned samples are analyzed at an AIHA (American Industrial Hygiene Association) certified laboratory. All laboratory fees are included.
Glutaraldehyde is a high-level disinfectant used for cold sterilization of medical and endoscopy instruments that can't be heat sterilized. EMT's glutaraldehyde vapor monitoring badge provides laboratory-analyzed exposure data for facilities using high-level disinfectants that can be compared with applicable occupational exposure limits.
Current Regulatory Status
OSHA Has not established a permissible exposure limit (PEL) for glutaraldehyde.
NIOSH Recommended exposure limit (REL) ceiling of 0.2 ppm (cannot be exceeded at any time during the work day)
